Pilot — what it does and what it sends

Pilot drafts and suggests. It never sends, charges or books anything on its own. Everything it produces is something you read and approve first.

What it does
Drafting A newsletter, an event description, a payment reminder — in your language, from your own context
Import mapping Works out which column in your spreadsheet is which
Duplicate detection Notices that two rows are probably the same person
Reading a receipt Reads date, amount and shop off a photograph
Questions about your figures Answers in plain language, from your own journal
The public assistant Answers a visitor’s question on your event page

This is the part worth knowing precisely.

  • Drafting sends your brief and the context you supply
  • Import mapping sends the member fields being compared
  • Receipt reading sends the photograph itself. A receipt carries a shop, a date and a total — it is not member data — and the image is never written to our usage log
  • Questions about figures send only the question and your account names. No balances, no entries, no member data. Every figure in the answer is worked out from your own journal; no model is ever asked to state one
  • The public assistant sends the visitor’s message, with email addresses, phone numbers and card-shaped numbers stripped first

All of it goes to Google’s Gemini. There is no region guarantee for that service, which is why it is listed plainly rather than buried.

Settings → Pilot, feature by feature. A feature that is off sends nothing at all — it is not degraded, it is absent.

The whole of Flok works without any of it.

It will not send an email, take a payment, book an entry or change a member record by itself. Where Pilot is involved there is always a step where a person reads what it produced and decides.
