What a membership costs

A membership is a rate you define once and give to members. Most clubs need three or four and never touch them again.
Setting one up
Section titled “Setting one up”Open Memberships and click Create membership. Each one carries:
- a name your members would recognise — “Aktivmitglied”, “Passiv”, “Junioren”
- a price and currency
- a cycle — weekly, monthly or yearly
One rate can be the default, which new members get unless you say otherwise.
Junior rates
Section titled “Junior rates”Give a rate a maximum age and it becomes a junior rate. Flok knows when somebody grows out of it, so you are not scanning birthdays every January.
Company and family rates
Section titled “Company and family rates”A rate can cover several people — a firm paying for four employees, or a family membership. The rate carries how many people it includes, and the members it covers are not invoiced personally. One invoice goes to the company or the household.
Giving someone a rate
Section titled “Giving someone a rate”On the member’s own page. A member holds one rate at a time, with a start date and, when they change or leave, an end date — so last year’s figures stay true after this year’s increase.
What the cycle does, and does not do
Section titled “What the cycle does, and does not do”The cycle says what the member is paying for — a year, a quarter, a month.
It does not tell Flok when to bill. That decision stays with you, and it is the thing people most often assume works the other way round.
